I am very happy with the results of replacing the foam on these 10" speakers they sound as good as new!
I have know ordered another 2 kits to repair some other speakers that I own
TIP: I used a hairdryer to heat up the speaker cage. This makes it much easier to remove the old glue from the surround with a knife.

Repairing Heathkit AS-1373 speaker woofer surronds June 3, 2013
Reviewer: Ed from Vancouver, WA
Giving the age of the pair of AS-1373 speakers, I almost just tossed them. Good thing I didn't as they sound plenty good enough after a quick repair.  The instructions were excellent and the repair simple.  True, patience is needed to carefully clean off the old surround debris.  A bunch of small weights (short hex bolts etc) are definitely recommended to hold the glued pieces. Centering took a bit of time, but once you get it just clip the surround with a clothespin when you are appire the glue to keep it centered. 15-20 min cleaning prep, 5 min to attach to the cone, then 2 hours drying time (moist here), another 5-10 min to center and attach to the basket. Final dry time of 4 hours (or until glue is clear). Done!

Total Satisfaction !!!!!! February 9, 2013
Reviewer: Doug McPhail from Ontario, Canada
Having bought replacement subs twice and being disappointed with the sound quality both times I was lucky enough to discover that repair parts were available to repair my original subs.
Through online research I discovered SpeakerWorks.com. Being somewhat apprehensive I ordered the repair kits necessary to repair my original subs.
I could not even find the manufacturer of my subs online but the dimensions of these repair kits seemed to match.
Lo and behold within two weeks of placing my order ( I live in Canada) my parts arrived.
The instructions were very detailed complete with photos, and the glue and brushes supplied were the correct amount to complete the repairs.
The repairs went without any problems and now my pre 2001 subs are like new.
Thank you SpeakerWorks.

Good results but not without patience September 22, 2011
Reviewer: John from Greenville WI
PART 1 - I ordered 2 kits, a shim pack, and 2 dust covers to fix the 10” woofers in my Advent Maestros.  Bottom line, the repair is complete and everything sounds great. It clearly stated this was a flat attach.  My cones required angle mtg.  But the product description said they worked for my speakers and the dimensions were an exact fit, so I took a chance.  They did end up working, but not without a lot of patience and extra time babysitting the flanges tendency from wanting to peel up.  SW gave me only 2 brushes and enough shims to do one speaker at a time.  It takes 1 brush to glue the surround to the cone, a 2nd for the basket, a 3rd for the dust covers, a 4th to reinforce the glue job to the cone because of the wrong mtg angle, and a 5th to glue Advent’s trim ring back onto the basket.  Even more brushes are needed if you don’t have enough shim to do both speakers at once.  So I invented some additional shim and ended up buying more brushes.
