Just What My Old Speakers Needed December 5, 2022 Reviewer: Ed Banas from Oviedo, FL United States   Using the website it was easy enough to determine what size foam surround I needed to replace my deteriorated surrounds. I received my order in a timely manner and initially it appeared I purchased the wrong surrounds. After further investigation it was determined I had the correct foam surrounds. Using the instructions provided it was relatively easy to replace the surrounds but rather time consuming. After completing the replacement of my four foam surrounds I realized the first one I repaired the cone was not centered. Unfortunately since the glue was dry I had to again remove the foam and order two more surrounds as it’s not possible to only order one.  Upon receipt I installed the new foam surround, again making absolutely certain it was centered and reinstalled the speaker. Now my speakers sound great. Lessons learned during this project: take your time, handle your speakers with care and ensure the cone is centered before gluing. Well worth the money. M&k Mx 70 speaker repair August 29, 2022 Reviewer: Glen Thompson from Eugene, OR United States   I have owned this sub for many years. It’s about 30 years old with failing foam surrounds. I finally got around to replacing the foam on the speakers a couple weeks ago. The new surrounds fit perfectly and work flawlessly. I can now feel and hear the bass like it should be. First time purchase February 25, 2022 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Front Royal, VA United States   I had never replaced surrounds before, and perceived it almost as a mystical process, but the JBL woofers needed their deteriorating surrounds replaced. The price was excellent, the adhesive worked very well and was easy to use (lower cost glue worked fine), came with great instructions, and even though I had never replaced a surround before, I had success on all three speakers. Boston A70 January 4, 2022 Reviewer: Mike from Canada   Works great. Was sceptical at first. Instructions are excellent. Really makes a difference to bend inner foam down, so cone and foam are perfect angle to glue, then no pop ups. Instead of bolts, I used sausepan lid for inner, and metal bowl on outer foam, to hold in place while drying. Thanks for the money saver. Was this review helpful to you?
