Sizing Surrounds For Your Speakers

Inside edge adhered to the part of the cone that slopes down toward the center of the speaker. If your speakers look like this you will want to order surrounds with an angled inside edge. The surround may be adhered to the top or bottom or the speaker cone.    

Inside edge of the surround adhered to a flat edge (lip) of the speaker cone. If your speakers look like this you will want to order surrounds with a flat inside edge. The surround may be adhered to the top or bottom or the speaker cone.

       

Speaker Size

Use the table below to determine the correct surrounds for your speakers. OD of surround is the outside diameter of the entire surround. The ID of surround is the inside diameter of the surround. The speaker cone OD is the outside diameter of the speaker cone (the part that moves up and down in the middle of the woofer.) The measurements listed here do not have to match your speakers exactly for the surrounds to work. The most important thing to remember is that the surrounds must overlap the speaker cone on the inside edge and the speaker basket on the outside edge.
