WOW! An easy little project. I have these 1980 Advent 5002 Speakers that just get moved around, finally decided repair the foam supporting the cones. The directions supplied were perfect. I did 'invent' a scraping tool that allowed me to removed the old foam from the underside of the speaker cones. I used one of those paint can/bottle openers that you get at every paint store in the world. Before I used it, I sharpened up the curved end (the end that opens a paint can) sharply to use as a scraping tool as the width was equal to the flat end piece of the speaker code. It scraped all of the old sticky foam away without tearing up the paper code, which by the way, is pretty tough. I went around a couple of times and it came out clean as a whistle. It dropped a bit of 'old foam bits' into the coil but I just vacuumed it out and all was well. The gluing part is more patience to allow the connection between code and foam to dry and manipulate with your fingers to keep it down.
