Refreshed some 23 year old speakers August 17, 2015 Reviewer: Simon from Huntsville, AL United States   Today I used the butyl rubber surrounds I ordered a few weeks ago from you all and I couldn't be happier. My boss gave me a pair of Infinity Sterling SS2001's that he bought in the 90's and the foam surrounds were simply falling apart. I chose the butyl rubber surrounds because they ought to last longer. The only substitution I had to do was using contact cement instead of the included adhesive, the included adhesive wouldn't bond to the cones. Using contact cement is definitely more difficult because there is zero working time. I had to redo the second surround because i didn't align it properly on my first try. The speakers sound great. Now I'm going to have to buy a second receiver so I can set these up in my office. Thanks for having a great product at a great price. Was this review helpful to you?

///lLPINE 6255 mid - woofer 5 1/4 surround repair February 23, 2015 Reviewer: shawn pomeroy from klamath falls, OR United States   The Alpine 6255 woofer/tweeter set was this company's the most expensive 1989 speaker line at a retail price of $325. The Alpine 15" Pro sub woofer retailed at $315. Twenty five years later this speaker still rocks but the foam surrounds  deterioration has left them dormant.  These rubber surrounds fit really well. Special jigs were made to keep the glued areas in contact. The edge between the surround and cone had a small bead of this adhesive. Dries totally clear and glossy. Requires moderate skill, because time to apply adhesive and placement . Cure time is not instant, but rather lengthy like a school glue. Was this review helpful to you?

Easier then I thought to do!! February 20, 2015 Reviewer: J Noel from Suncook, NH United States   My outdoor 12-15 yr old Advents had bit the dust I thought I'd have to replace the woofers(if you want to call 5.25" woofers);  anyways very easy to follow the instructions.  Only concern is if the white glue supplied will hold up on rainy days since they recommend using water to soften the surround if you screw up and have to reposition it?? Won't know till summer when I get to use them again... Was this review helpful to you?

Repair Rubber Surround October 17, 2014 Reviewer: Guguman from Pearl City, HI United States   The support provided was excellent for my Polk Audio speaker. The recommended kit fit with no problem. Being an amateur and this being my first attempt to do a repair, the material provided was all I needed and the instructions was precise and easy to follow. Best I've seen April 16, 2014 Reviewer: William Bixman from Tollhouse, CA United States   The rubber surrounds I purchased are better than the pieces I've used in the past. I especially like the thicker 'flange' outer ring! As soon as the rest of my speakers  come in I'm ordering more! But, I do prefer a different glue. Sorry guys. Was this review helpful to you?
