Dust caps are for use with our speaker repair kits. Generally you don't need to replace the dust cap when you repair a speaker unless the dust cap is damaged.

The 4-1/4" dust caps fit the JBL drivers exactly, after I had to remove the original to re-cement the aluminum ring that had broken loose, causing the speaker to break up on bass notes and causing the voice coil to hit the magnet.

After re-cementing the ring and replacing the dust cap, it works as well as it ever has!
