Kit to repair one 15 inch speaker. Comes with 1 surround, instructions, can be ordered with or without adhesive, applicator brush, and phone or email technical support. Fits a speaker cone of 12 inches. Works on angle attach speaker cones.

5 of 5 Replaced surrounds in 15" JBL Woofers November 21, 2020

My friends had this nice pair of JBL L300 Summit speakers. The woofers had deteriorated surrounds. I ordered new surrounds from SpeakerWorks and received them within a few days. I read the good instructions carefully. I knew one of the speakers was going to be a challenge because I could tell one of the bobbins wanted to rub in the channel. The instructions addressed dealing with that problem as well essentially advising to apply pressure to pull the cone in a direction to eliminate the rubbing as the glue begins to set. After the glue started to set more I created a soft plastic ring about an inch wide from some shipping semi-firm foam and put it between the two speakers facing each other on a table to help them apply even weighted-pressure on each others surround as the glue dried. That worked out quite well.

Fits an old 1998ish MTX Thunder 5000 15 pretty well. Hope this helps the oldschool car audio guys. Closest measurements compared to simply or springfield.

This is the second time I have purchased a surround replacement from SpeakerWorks.  The products are excellent quality and the instructions are thorough.
The project was a 60-year old, 15" organ speaker used as a subwoofer.   It is speaking as it should.
