8 inch Speaker Repair Kit Angle Attach August 29, 2022 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Arcadia, CA United States   The product arrived quickly and undamaged. It met all expectations and fit my speaker application perfectly (35 year old bookshelf speakers with deteriorated foam surrounds). The instructions were clear and helpful and allowed me to repair two speakers with very little effort and no problems. SpeakerWorks, the only place to go. January 4, 2022 Reviewer: Richard Anderson from Indianapolis, IN United States   Thank You for your great service, I commented that the speakers that I was re-surrounding where in the bathroom, the rep that did my order read this and substituted a water-proof glue, that's great service from people that care. I received my surround kit in just 3 days, that's fast service. SpeakerWorks is the only place I shop for the repairs my speakers need. It worked August 7, 2020 Reviewer: Dennis from Davis, CA United States   The instructions included were a great addition! I actually got 4 older Wetsounds Pro485 8" speakers repaired with this kit and they work great! I used 3/4" nuts and bolts to weigh the edges down, but if I had to do it again I would cut a circle out of wood to more evenly apply weight. I found clamps pinch the surround down at too much of a focal point, thus the rubber surround just outside the clamp's bite lift up leaving a wave surround edge. I did also have to space the cone up as the instruction suggest to get the outer edge on. Was this review helpful to you?

I ordered the wrong surround and even though I wasn't specifically asking for a refund, on my next order I mentioned that I had messed up my last order and the company was more than happy to offer a refund. First time speaker repair November 11, 2019 Reviewer: JD from Fairport, NY United States   I was sad thinking my speakers I'd bought decades ago with part of my first real paycheck were now trash. Not giving up easily, I landed on the Speakerworks website. Never knew what a surround was before, but so glad they are repairable! The measurement table to find just the right replacement surround size was invaluable. The "how to replace" video was helpful too. I received my order in 2 days from across the country. Good surround but be careful with rubber cement June 11, 2019 Reviewer: toolfooldan from Temple, TX United States   Love the surrounds; exact fit to my old Kicker woofers.  The problem was with the rubber glue ordered with the rubber surround.  The provided written gluing instructions are very good but only cover application of the PVA glue; not the rubber "contact cement".  As I've used this type of glue before, I knew this glue up would be very tricky.   This glue is applied to both surfaces and let dry until slightly tacky.  Then press two surfaces together.  Boom.  That's it and you have no chance to make adjustments for surround alignment error.  I got it done  but man was it a challenge.   The Speakerworks website should be more clear about this glue (had I understood exacly what this glue was, I would NOT have purchased the rubber surround), and the instructions should have a writeup on how to approach and achieve a successful and stress free rubber surround glueup.
